1. A)Conduct a tension test on the given Mild Steel specimen using UTM and determine Young’s Modulus of Elasticity, Yield points, Percentage elongation and Percentage reduction in area and draw the stress-strain diagram.
B) Construct the Pneumatic Circuit for direct operation of a Single Acting Cylinder using pilot valve and execute it.
2. A) Conduct a torsion test on the given Mild Steel specimen and determine the shear stress and shear modulus. Also draw a graph between torque and angle of twist in radians.
B) Construct the Hydraulic Circuit for Speed control of Double Acting Cylinder using “metering in” circuit and execute them.
3. A) Conduct a compression test on the given open coiled spring using Spring Testing Machine and determine its modulus of rigidity, strain energy, shear stress and stiffness by load deflection method. Also draw a graph between load and deflection.
